Datomia® erasure-coded object storage eliminates the need for storing extra copies of data. All of the Data Atoms that are TM generated from the original data are connected to each other through their shared InformationDNAData DNA® and connected to neighbor Data AtomsTM through metadata. The Data AtomsTM are uploaded to geographically dispersed storage nodes of the user's user’s choosing. They contain links to the vault snapshots, as well as the current state of data blocks used for the snapshots.
